Since the inception of AMS support for the history of medicine AMS has funded publications in the history of medicine and health care. We are able to provide electronic access to some of these publications for reference purposes. The publications include:
- Canadian Medical Lives: A series of 24 biographies of significant figures in Canadian medicine. The series was edited by Dr. Thomas Morley and is being made available as "read only" PDF files for reference. The books may be purchased from Fitzhenry and Whiteside Limited, Publishers.
- "Medical Archives: What they are and how to keep them" is an resource manual written by Professor Barbara Craig of the University of Toronto and is being made available as a free download in PDF format. A hardcopy of the volume is available at no cost from the AMS office.
Further publications will be made available from time to time.
